I first met Rachel and Phil four years ago when I photographed both their engagement and wedding. Later, I had the opportunity to photograph Phil for his music project, Left Me Bashful. A few months ago, Phil contacted me to set up a surprise maternity shoot for him and Rachel. He secured the talents of their wedding day hair stylist, but told Rachel that I was unfortunately "not available" to photograph them. I came to find out she was very disappointed I could not do it, and was nervous about using another photographer that was not me... thank you for stroking my ego!
We kept it casual, sticking to the apartment building and around their Brooklyn neighborhood in Greenpoint. I'm pretty sure you will be seeing more of these two (soon to be three) in the next year...
