I first met Andrew when we were bandmates in Brooklyn, NY many years ago. He left NYC after that and quickly formed his own band, Andrew Leahey & The Homestead. It's been such a pleasure watching his career flourish (as I knew it would). He has become a full-fledged rock star.
Tomorrow, his new critically-acclaimed album, "Airwaves", comes out, and for a little 'Throwback Thursday', I'm posting some photos I have taken of him over the years when he performed in NYC (Bowery Electric and Rockwood Music Hall)... including his first solo show at Cafe Wha?. I didn't get too many shots from that particular show because, well, I was a little busy playing drums for him.
